The main objective of scientifically well-founded social and economic strategy of the President of Turkmenistan – prosperity of our fatherland and well-being of our people. Its priorities are reflected in large-scale programs of the head of the state and in development of multiplane international cooperation.

Issues of realisation of the national rural program as well as course of seasonal agricultural campaigns in the country were considered at the working meeting, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held online on September 30.

As was informed, necessary measures now are taken for increase of rates of cotton picking, effective operation of agricultural machinery, and uninterrupted transportation of the raw material to places of reception and to ginneries.

Along with it, the winter wheat sowing and irrigation of young shoots are carried out in due time.

Proper care of potato, vegetables, gourds, and other agricultural crops, gathering of harvest proceed. In Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, agriculturalists prepare for harvest of rice and in Mary velayat care of sugar beet is conducted.

The information on preparation for the heating season of social and cultural buildings, course of construction of the objects planned to be commissioned this year within the national rural program also sounded.

The head of the state focused attention on importance of seasonal agricultural actions according to agro-technical standards and gave concrete instructions on realisation of strict control over work in this direction.

He also gave instructions on maintenance of quality of construction of objects of different functions to be opened this year.

On September 3, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received European Union Commissioner for International Cooperation Jutta Urpilainen.

During the meeting, exchange of opinions on priority areas of constructive partnership, including the sphere of development of science and education, ecology, power and transport corridors took place.

Especially having underlined the role of Turkmenistan as reliable transport bridge between Asia and Europe, Jutta Urpilainen highly appreciated an active position of our country in expansion of multilateral interaction of EU - Central Asia in the field of transport.

Jointly with countries of the region and authoritative international organisations, Turkmenistan actively develops such perspective transport corridors, as the North-South and East-West. In this connection, the head of the state expressed confidence that these corridors will become a reliable bridge for development of cooperation and trade and economic relations between countries of the Eurasian continent.

On October 4, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the next online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, at which work of branches of economy for nine months of the current year was summed up and forthcoming goals were defined.

For consideration of the head of Turkmenistan, the Program of the VI Viennese Ball, which will take place in the city of Arkadag on October 10, was submitted. He was informed on preparation of the actions timed to Day of workers of public health services and medical industry.

Results of participation of the delegation of our country in the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations on September 26 -October 1of the current year where positions of Turkmenistan on actual global issues, in particular, concerning security, sustainable development as well as climate change and humanitarian aspect were described, became a separate topic of the meeting. In this context, the international initiatives of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the given areas were sounded.

The delegation of our country also took part in the meeting in the format «С5+1» at level of heads of foreign policy departments of countries of Central Asia and the USA and in the next annual meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of member states of the Economic Cooperation Organization, at which the official position of Turkmenistan on given points were sounded.

During the meeting with Secretary General of United Nations Antonio Guterres significance and high efficiency of the visit of the head of the largest international organisation to Ashgabat in July of this year and the negotiations held with President Serdar Berdimuhamedov as well as National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was underlined. An exemplary model of the neutral policy of Turkmenistan, its active and positive role in the general efforts concerning modern global challenges were stated.

Along with it, on the sidelines of the 79th session of the General Assembly of the United Nations other meetings were held and a number of documents, in particular, the Memorandum of mutual understanding between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia on adjustment of bilateral consultations and the Memorandum of cooperation between the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia were signed.

Summing up the work carried out for nine months of the current year, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that they show success of realisation of adopted programs. The rate of increase of gross national product, which for the accounting period made up 6,3 percent as well as solemn input of large industrial and social projects also attest to the fact.

The head of the state instructed to take necessary measures for the end of 2024 with positive indicators.

During the meeting, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated medical workers with their professional holiday marked in Turkmenistan on October 10 and signed a number of the Resolutions aimed at development of the system of public health services of the country for 2024-2028.

So, according to documents, the National strategy of medical rehabilitation actions and the National program of Turkmenistan for immune prophylaxis and National program of development of physiology in Turkmenistan were approved.

Among the signed documents – Resolutions on maintenance of population with medical products and production of medical designation, creation of the International rehabilitation centre and International scientific-clinical centre of physiology, financing of civil-engineering designs of oncology hospitals in Balkan, Lebap and Mary velayat.

The past week the head of the state also signed the Resolution on creation of the organizing committee for preparation of national teams for the XXXIV summer Olympic and XVIII Summer Paralympic Games which will be held in Los Angeles (USA) in 2028, and approved its composition.

On October 5, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the next meeting of the State Security Council, at which results of work of military and law enforcement bodies for nine months of the current year as well as issues of security and tranquillity in our independent neutral fatherland, further strengthening of material and technical basis of security structures, perfection of their activity were considered.

On October 6, Turkmenistan marked Remembrance Day of victims of the Ashgabat earthquake of 1948 as well as heroes who fell on fields of battles of all wars. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the mourning ceremony of flower laying at monuments of the Memorial complex «Halk hakydasy» - majestic monuments «Ruhy tagzym», «Milletiň ogullary» and «Baky şöhrat».

According to national traditions, remembrance ceremonies took place that day in the capital sand Arkadag city as well as in all velayats of the country.

In connection with Remembrance Day, which this year fell on Sunday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on transfer of the day off from 6 to October 7.

Continuing the review of basic events of the past week, we should point out that on October 3 under the chairmanship of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty the meeting of the Presidium of the higher representative body of people's power of Turkmenistan - Khalk Maslakhaty took place. Members of the Presidium, Chairwoman of the Mejlis, deputy chairpersons of the Cabinet, some departments and mass media, representatives of political parties and public associations took part in it.

Its agenda included consideration of the issues proceeding from decisions of the meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, held on the eve of the 33rd anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.

The special attention was given to preparation for actions to be held in the 2025, which was declared according to the Resolution adopted at the initiative of our country by the United Nations as International Year of Peace and Trust.

With a view of fulfilment of the corresponding Decree of the President of Turkmenistan signed at the historical meeting of the Khalk Maslakhaty, the proposal on preparation of the plan of actions and celebrations on that occasion sounded.

Participants also discussed issues of further development of science, education, public health services and sports, measures on perfection of education of the youth. Measures For realisation of the Strategy of development of the sphere of science for 2024-2052 in Turkmenistan and Concepts of development of the city of Arkadag for 2024-2052, approved by the Khalk Maslakhaty were planned at the meeting.

As Hero-Arkadag noted in his speech, in our neutral state it has become a noble tradition to consult people - regularly to hold the Khalk Maslakhaty.

Today, the activity of the higher representative body of people's power is enriched with the new maintenance, it is considered an important tool for strengthening unity, cohesion of people, management and development of society.

The past week Ashgabat hosted the meeting of high level devoted to the start of the Trans-Caspian Transport Crossings Coordination Platform took place.

EU Commissioner for International Cooperation Jutta Urpilainen, Advisor to the Director-General of the European Commission for International Cooperation Henrik Holloway as well as representatives of profile ministries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Turkiye, Armenia, Georgia, Asian Development Bank, Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, Islamic Development Bank and World Bank took part in it.

As was marked during the meeting, the new coordination platform is aimed at increase of stability of the Transcaspian transport corridor and its transformation into the multimodal route connecting Europe and Asia. It will promote stimulation of investments into railway, automobile and port infrastructures, strengthening of economic relations between Europe and Central Asia, security and reliability of transport corridors.

Cooperation within the platform assumes also active introduction of technological innovations in the transport sector, participation in realisation of mutually beneficial projects.

The final, fifth volume of the book «Hatyra» ("Memory"), prepared by the Main Archives Office under the Cabinet of Turkmenistan was published. In the new edition, the memory tribute is paid to Turkmen nationals from Mary velayat, who bravely fought at the Great Patriotic War. Its pages contain names of brave soldiers who were missing and fell in battles heroically and who were seriously injured and who did not come back home.

Thus, events of the past week once again displayed a huge creative potential of our fatherland, success of realisation of the state strategy of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov aimed at augmentation of economic potential of the country, nation cultural wealth, growth of well-being of people, strengthening of the international authority of Turkmenistan, which heads towards new heights of progress.
