Turkmen Alabai in fine arts and photography

On October 27, our country will widely celebrate the Turkmen Alabai Day, which is traditionally accompanied by creative competitions and contests. The culmination of the festivities will be the International Contest "Ýylyň türkmen edermen alabaýy," organized in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan.

In anticipation of the main events, a creative exhibition "Türkmen alabaýy" has been opened at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. The exhibition features the best works that extol the majestic image of Alabais.

Contemporary artists, illustrators and sculptors create their works, striving to convey the physical power and distinctive appearance of this breed.

There is a saying: "God looks at people through the eyes of dogs." This wisdom is confirmed both in artistic canvases and in photographs that capture unique moments of interaction between humans and their faithful four-legged companions.

Alabai photography is a distinct art form aimed at accurately reflecting reality. The majestic appearance of these dogs is perfect for portrait photography. Their powerful build, thick fur, and expressive eyes create stunning shots.

Many photographers gladly choose Alabais as subjects against picturesque natural landscapes, which wonderfully emphasize their deep connection with the environment.

Photos of Alabai puppies evoke special tenderness and warmth. These small plush creatures with their big expressive eyes and fluffy fur instantly fill viewers' hearts with affection and joy. Each frame captures their playfulness and irrepressible curiosity, creating an atmosphere of childlike inspiration as puppies eagerly explore the world around them.

The Turkmen Alabai is an integral part of the country's cultural heritage, and efforts are being made to further enhance its global fame. Currently, Turkmenistan is advocating for the inclusion of the national tradition of breeding Alabais in UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The competitions held these days for artistic depiction of Turkmen Alabais in fine and decorative-applied arts, as well as in publishing products and photographs, are aimed at attracting public attention to the unique culture and traditions of Turkmenistan.
