TURKSOY Theater Festival concluded in Turkmenistan

Today, the second Theater Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) ended in the capital.

This morning, participants of the theater forum visited the "Seyit Jemaletdin" monument complex, which houses monuments of national culture and past eras. Nowadays, the modern city of Anev flourishes here with equal grandeur, systematically developing its social infrastructure.

As part of the festival, the National Drama Theater named after Alp Arslan presented the play "Akyldar."

One of the festival's highlights was the TURKSOY biennale dedicated to Anev's historical monuments, held at the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan. This event paid tribute to cultural heritage and showcased a new creative interpretation of shared artistic traditions.

It is worth noting that dialogue between national cultures and civilizations holds special significance for political, economic and cultural rapprochement between continents. Culture serves as a bridge uniting different peoples and nations because its language is accessible and understandable without translation. Various creative events, including film and theater festivals, cultural days of different countries, and international exhibitions-fairs, have become symbols of friendship and mutual understanding.

On the final day of the festival, during the 10th meeting of theater leaders from TURKSOY member countries, colleagues discussed modern trends in theater development and opportunities for further collaboration. It was noted that new forms are being used to attract audiences today, with advanced technologies and scientific-technical progress being applied, along with bold experiments. The past and present, traditions and innovations, folklore and creative ideas coexist harmoniously on stage.

Theater leaders from TURKSOY member countries expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for his hospitality, high-level organization of the forum, creation of favorable conditions for comprehensive creative activity, and strengthening international contacts in the field of culture and art among Turkic-speaking peoples.

In the evening, the Great Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn closing ceremony of the second Theater Festival of TURKSOY member countries.

Speeches highlighted that the main goal of events held within the framework of the "Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World" project is to establish cooperation among Turkic peoples to preserve, develop, and pass on common material, cultural, and spiritual values to future generations. It was also emphasized that modern theater is one of the important means of preserving and developing language and transmitting cultural-historical heritage to subsequent generations. Supporting theater movements in Turkic-speaking countries and regions is a priority for TURKSOY, which consistently supports various international forums.

Participants in this showcase of stage art were awarded diplomas, prizes and commemorative gifts.

According to laureates, this year's festival made a significant contribution to popularizing the unique historical-cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.

The overwhelming feelings of gratitude from our guests towards the head of the Turkmen state, Hero-Arkadag were expressed creatively that evening. Under the magnificent hall's arches, a song praising President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's progressive policies and Hero-Arkadag was performed highly and inspirationally amidst participants' applause.

Participants of the second Theater Festival of TURKSOY member countries adopted an address of gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, expressing appreciation for his continuous care for national culture development and creating favorable conditions for comprehensive creative activity.
