In the Era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state, large-scale programs and projects, called to ensure social and economic prosperity of our fatherland, increase of standards of living of population, expansion of economic partnership and humanitarian relations in interests of universal peace are successfully realised in Turkmenistan under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of the state considered the course of work in the agrarian sector of the country and realisation of the National rural program at the working meeting held on November 11.

As was informed, velayats continue the harvest of cotton as well as take measures for effective functioning of agricultural machinery in this work, uninterrupted transportation of raw cotton to reception points. They provide well care of wheat fields in places. In addition to it, they plough fields to be sown with cotton in the next year.

Dashoguz and Lebap velayats gather the rice harvest and Mary velayat - sugar beet.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pointed out that such priority tasks as supply of population with various articles of food and our industrial enterprises with a sufficient volume of raw materials are put before the agrarian sector and in this connection, instructed to keep control of fulfilment of work in the given area.

The head of the state congratulated cotton growers of Balkan velayat with their labour victory who were the first to have fulfilled their state cotton production plan and wished them new successes.

Separate instructions concerned the ensuring of qualities of construction of social and industrial projects planned to be opened in regions of the country this year.

On November 15, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular online meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers to discuss key issues of social and economic development of our fatherland and consider drafts of some documents as well as some other issues.

In the light of activity carried out by the Mejlis for further improvement of legislation of the country, preparation of the new draft of the Civil Code of Turkmenistan, amendments and additions to some operating acts, in particular, to those which regulate civil-law relations, issues, connected with administrative offences, taxes, development of motor transport, state and diplomatic service were informed.

The information on the work carried out to prepare the draft of the state budget of Turkmenistan for 2025 according to instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was also delivered.

Key tasks of the main financial document of the state for the next year included preservation of macroeconomic stability, continuation of dynamical development of branches of economy and regions of the country, investment of the basic part of investments into radical modernisation of manufactures, further increase of standards of living of population.

In particular, it envisages increase in sizes of salaries, pensions, scholarships, welfare payments and other expenses. In the sector of economy it is planned to invest 40,1 billion manats at the expense of all sources of financing.

In the meeting, the head of the state signed the document on submission of the draft of the state budget for 2025 for consideration of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan.

The meeting of the Government among other issues also discussed modernisation of the material and technical basis of enterprises of "Türkmennebit" State Concern, maintenance of uninterrupted functioning of the enterprises of "Türkmenhimiýa" State Concern, introduction of digital system and innovative technologies in all branches of national economy and course of seasonal agricultural campaigns.

The information on preparation for the second Turkmen-Uzbek inter-regional forum and national exhibition of Uzbek goods to be held on November 20-21 of the current year in Turkmenabat city of Lebap velayat was also delivered.

On December 18, the Oguz khan engineering and technological university of Turkmenistan will host the International scientific-practical conference «Smart city: technologies of management, digital, smart and IT technologies, security and economy».

Besides it, preparation for the awarding ceremony of winners of the Youth award of Turkmenistan as well as results of archaeological excavations and restoration work carried out during spring and autumn seasons of the current year at historical and cultural monuments of the country were also informed.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the presented proposals on perfection of work of the Department of foreign policy information and digital diplomacy, which functions in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since August 1 of the current year.

So, with a view of consecutive perfection of information support of foreign policy activity, in the context of wide use of modern methods and maintenance of interaction with foreign information services, it is proposed  to set up the post of the press attaché in diplomatic representative offices of some countries, to adjust interaction with the Department of Global Communications of the United Nations, to conclude bilateral agreements on cooperation and to accredit correspondents of the magazine abroad, on the basis of world practice to form a special zone - Digital integration.

Having supported the proposal on construction of railway stations of Dushak and Bamy in Akhal velayat, Jebel in Balkan region, Bayramaly in Mary velayat according to the adopted program, the head of the state gave a number of instructions to that cause.

Among other events of the past week - International tennis tournament started in Ashgabat «Ashgabat Open 2024» among boys and girls under 14.

Sportsmen from 12 countries of Europe and Asia, including Great Britain, India, Iran, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan took part in competitions.

The opening ceremony of the tournament was held in the Tennis complex of the capital Olympic village recognised this year by the Asian Tennis Federation as «educational-training centre of the Asian region».

During amazing duels in single and pair categories sportsmen competed not only for medals of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) under which aegis took place competitions, but also for possibility to raise the rating.

Following the results of four kinds of the program «Ashgabat Open 2024» our compatriots secured 8 prize-winning places.

Medals and certificates of the Asian Tennis Federation, costly presents on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were handed to winners and prize winners of the tournament.

The International film festival «Gorkut ata», held in Ashgabat on the occasion of announcement of the ancient Turkmen city of Anau as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024 became a significant contribution to the further strengthening of friendship and brotherhoods between people and development of cultural cooperation.

The festival organised within cooperation of TURKSOY member countries brought together film figures from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bashkortostan (Russian Federation), Republics of Tyva (Russian Federation), the Chuvash Republic (Russian Federation), Moldova, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan.

The panel of jury considered feature and documentary films created by masters of cinema of different countries.

In the nomination «The best documentary film» the first place was given to the creative group of the film «Äleme belgilidir», devoted to the 300th birthday anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi, which was made by Oguz khan «Türkmenfilm» Association both in the territory of Turkmenistan and abroad.

The «Magtymguly Pyragy» was recognized as the best feature film - co-production of cinematographers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and our country under the patronage of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov. The biographic film of the master of poetry became a unique gift to the 300th birthday anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.

A special prize of the jury went to the creative group of the film «Kompozitor» of the Oguz khan «Türkmenfilm» Association thanks to support of Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, with direct assistance of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag.

Within the film festival a master class of figures of motion picture art for students of Turkmen state institute of culture, a meeting of cinematographers of TURKSOY member countries were held.

The 41st meeting of the of the Permanent  ministerial council of culture of member states of the International Organisation of Turkic culture became one of the main actions on the occasion of declaration of the ancient Turkmen city of Anau as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.

Participants of the meeting highly appreciated the actions held this year in Turkmenistan, including II Theatrical festival of TURKSOY member countries, the International film festival «Gorkut ata», and also thematic conferences, competitions, exhibitions, creative meetings and joint concerts.

Members of the Council discussed and made decisions on intensification of joint efforts in preservation, study, popularisation of cultural wealth and historical and cultural heritage of Turkic speaking people at the international level, having approved the Program of activity of TURKSOY for 2025. They also signed the final declaration.

In the building «Türkmeniň ak öýi» in the valley «Nowruz ýaýlasy» in Ak bugday etrap of Akhal velayat a celebration on the occasion of finale of the actions timed to declaration of the city of Anau as cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024, and in its frameworks a concert of workers of culture and art of Turkic states were held.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev noted that the international actions organised on that occasion are of great importance in promotion of the cultural dialogue between the Turkic people and expressed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag gratitude for the high level of the organisation of celebrations.

The status of cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2025 was given to Aktau city of the Republic of Kazakhstan. To official delegation handed a special cup of TURKSOY and transitional symbol of the International film festival «Gorkut ata» - statuette of "Crane".

In the capital hotel "Aşgabat" celebration of winners of the international youth competitions for the best composition on the theme «Magtymguly Fragi - the thinker and poet» and drawing on the plot «Cultural heritage of the Turkic people and Anau culture» was held.

The effective platform for exchange of experience between specialists and foreign partners in the field of modernisation of the telecommunication system called to ensure innovative development of the country, realisation of national programs and global projects was the ХVII international exhibition and scientific conference of telecommunications, telemetry, information technology and TV broadcasting equipment «Türkmentel - 2024» which was held in Ashgabat.

Heads and representatives of some international organisations and over 200 companies - manufacturers and software developers and IT services, communications service providers from more than 30 countries, including from the USA, Russia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, the United Arab Emirates, Estonia, Iran, Finland, France, Kazakhstan, Germany, China, Korea, Afghanistan, Turkey, Switzerland, Ukraine took part in the forum.

At the large-scale exhibition, the stands were presented by communication structures of our country successfully realising important long-term government programs and projects in the communication system and telecommunications, and their foreign partners.

Participants of the scientific conference exchanged opinions in new areas of development of information-communication technologies. Representatives of famous world technological companies made proposals on introduction of innovative solutions and expansion of scope of activity in Turkmenistan.

On the final day of the international exhibition and scientific conference the awarding ceremony of winners of competition of innovative projects «Digital solution - 2024», which purpose revealing and support of young experts working in the field of development of software program and innovative start-ups took place.

Besides it, past Saturday the awarding ceremony of winners of the Youth award of Turkmenistan was also held. The competition was organised by the Central Board of the Youth organisation named after Magtymguly among young citizens who have shown an active position in advancement of the state policy and grandiose reforms, and achieved successes in education, science and various branches.

This year, ministries and departments, higher educational schools, cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, velayats of the country nominated 506 young men for the competition and 135 from which became winners.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the instructions of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov hosted the successive meeting of Turkmenistan’s National Commission for UNESCO with participation of heads and representatives of profile ministries and departments, public organisations, mass media.

During the meeting, a wide spectrum of issues of interaction within this largest specialized United Nations establishment, of which Turkmenistan is a full member since 1993. Areas of further cooperation, including in the context of proposals put forward by our state to include national values into the Representative List of intangible cultural heritage of humanity of UNESCO were outlined.

Thus, events of the past week full reflected the sequence of the course of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in realisation of large scale purposes of the external and internal policy, based upon powerful economic potential of the country, achievement of scientific and technical progress, mutually beneficial international cooperation, unique historical and cultural heritage and spiritual force of the nation, energy and purposefulness of the younger generation.
