From November 24 to 30 this year, the 17th Eurasia International Film Festival will take place in Almaty, bringing together more than 15 countries. The film forum will gather directors, actors, screenwriters, film critics and cinema enthusiasts from around the world. Guests from Europe, Asia and the Middle East will bring their works to tell stories that unite everyone.

The international competition is an integral part of the Eurasia Film Festival, highlighting its status as a significant cultural platform. Participants present works that have already gained recognition at other prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Berlin and Venice, as well as films that are just beginning their cinematic journey.

The competition program of the film festival featured 12 films, including the feature film "Daragt" by director Sakhysalykh Bayramov, which was previously presented at other venues and was awarded a special jury prize at the 17th Cheboksary International Film Festival in May this year.

The Turkmen-Uzbek film "Magtymguly Fragi," recognized as the "Best Feature Film" at the 4th International Film Festival "Gorkut Ata" in Ashgabat, was also submitted to the competition in Almaty.

In 2024, "Eurasia" is not only a film festival, but also a unique journey into the world of cinema that will leave an unforgettable impression and open new horizons for participants and viewers. In addition to competitive and non-competitive screenings, the festival will host master classes in directing, screenwriting and cinematography, as well as professional discussions among filmmakers.
