Autumn in Ashgabat is marked by a true parade of cultures from friendly countries. Following the recent Days of Culture of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea introduced Turkmenistan to its culture and traditions by organizing its program on November 22-23 as part of the Days of Korean Culture.

Residents and guests of the Turkmen capital were able to immerse themselves in the warm and hospitable atmosphere of the Land of Morning Calm on November 22 at the "Arkach" shopping and entertainment center, where an open cultural program was held. Visitors could explore and take photos against a Korean photo zone featuring typical landscapes and landmarks. Souvenir kits for making mother-of-pearl keychains and mirrors in Korean design traditions were prepared for guests.

Popular Korean snacks were specially brought from Korea for guests to taste. The crowded event, accompanied by lively music, left a pleasant impression on attendees, inspiring them to learn more about Korean culture.

On November 23, a concert took place at the Magtymguly Music and Drama Theatre of Turkmenistan, featuring invited Korean performers accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by Resul Gylyjov. The concert program included Korean lyrical works celebrating love, nature and life's beauty, as well as masterpieces of world musical classics performed by renowned opera singers - tenor Gwon Hwapyeong and mezzo-soprano Kwon Minji. Gwon Hwapyeong is a graduate of the Korea National University of Arts and Vienna University of Music, winner of international song contests Otto Edelmann (2024) and Hans Gabor Belvedere (2024). He has gained wide recognition not only in Korea but also in the USA, Austria, and other countries. Mezzo-soprano Kwon Minji is also a prestigious award winner, having graduated from Kyung Hee University and received musical education abroad.

The performances by Korean artists were enthusiastically received by the audience. Overall, the concert, combining traditional Korean musical art, popular works of world opera classics, and the skill of Turkmen musicians, became another bright event in this autumn's cultural agenda, confirming the importance and demand for international cultural dialogue.
