In the Great Hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva, representatives of the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov held a memorable concert dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the famous Turkmen composer Redjep Redjepov.

People's Artist, laureate of the Makhtumkuli State Prize of Turkmenistan, member of the Union of Composers of Turkmenistan and the USSR, also a member of the Union of Cinematographers of the USSR, Redjep Redjepov entered to the history of national musical art as an outstanding composer who presented many films with musical works that significantly enriched the cultural heritage of the country.

Colleagues, students and musicians get together to honor the memory of the outstanding composer. The concert program featured famous works of Redjep Redjepov, written in different years.

The memorial evening opened with a bright performance "Turkmenistan" performed by Redjepmirad Kakamiradov and the choir. Then, vocalist Ogulgerek Pirnyaeva with the symphony orchestra, presented the song Uzukjemal "Armanym", written by the composer to the "Morning Riders" movie.

In the continuation of the musical program, a composition to the symphony orchestra "Galkynysh" from the movie "Paratroopers" was performed. A musical composition entitled "Dedication to Redjep Redjepov" in memory of teacher was presented by a student of the Department of History and Theory of Music, Ylas Artikov.

At the end of the evening, vocal works were performed: "Röwşeniň aýdymy" from the opera "Görogly" performed by Sohbet Maksatmiradov and "Daş galdy" performed by Redjepmyrat Kakamuradov. The audience also enjoyed the duet of Byagul Khudaiberenova and Yhlas Velikhanov, who performed "Söýgi aýdymy" to the folk orchestra accompaniment.

The compositions were adapted for the national orchestra by Gadam Dzhumakuliev, a teacher of the Turkmen State Special Music School named after D. Ovezov.

According to representatives of the music community, the music of Redjep Redjepov, revolved to the hearts of listeners, will always compel warm memories of composer and his heritage.

In this jubilee year, when the composer could have turned 80 years old, several significant events were held in honor of Redjep Redjepov. Among them is a concert of his works, a creative meeting with artists at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kulieva, also a concert at the Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan.
