Foreign pop artists congratulate Turkmenistan on the upcoming New Year

The festive atmosphere of pre-New Year concerts and holiday shows, which kicked off in Ashgabat at the Winter Sports Complex, is gaining momentum.

Residents and guests of the capital have already been congratulated by Iranian rapper of Turkmen origin Emin Rasen, Uzbek singer Osman Navruzov, Russian pop singer and composer Olga Shultais, who is originally from Ashgabat. In addition, popular performers in Turkmenistan, such as Annaberdi Orazmammedov, Ahmet Atajanov, Nuryagdy Rejepov, Begmyrat Annamyradov and Rustem Hallyev, have also taken part in the celebrations.

Commenting on her performance, Olga Shultais noted that performing musical compositions for the people of Ashgabat is a true gift for her on the eve of the New Year.

The audience warmly welcomed songs written by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Öňe, öňe, diňe öňe, jan Watanym Türkmenistan!” and “Ýaşasyn parahat durmuş!”. The songs were performed by Shultais in Russian translations. To delight her fellow countrymen further, she also sang a tribute song titled “My White City Ashgabat.”

The New Year concert marathon continues. In the coming days, vibrant representatives of Turkish pop music will take over the festive baton. Murat Boz, a recipient of the "Golden Butterfly" award, and Gulshen Bayraktar, whose musical career has been recognized with six "Golden Butterfly" awards and nine Kral Turkey Music Awards, will take to the stage.

The festive program will also feature a performance by Tunisian singer Amani Swissi alongside Turkmen stage artists Guvanch Yazmammedov and Eldar Ahmedov.

One of the most anticipated events of the music marathon will be a performance by the outstanding artist Arsen Shahunts. His name is well-known to the people of Turkmenistan since it was here in the city of Mary that his impressive musical career began.

Arsen quickly gained recognition thanks to his heartfelt and energetic compositions. His superhit "Girl, Stop!" caused a real sensation. He will perform with a program of the same name on December 27 at the Winter Sports Complex stage.
