The Mukam Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan hosted the “Broadway and Beyond” concert, which was attended by a trio of American singers accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev, the Balkan Youth Choir and popular pop singers.

Broadway guests - Kate Bass, Aaron Young and Richard Steinner - performed with the pop artists: Dovran Shammiev, Muniza Hudaibergenova and Bahar Durdieva.

The concert program featured songs from Broadway, national songs also songs on Makhtumkuli’s poems translated into English. It is noteworthy that one of the songs – “Aglama” was performed by the viewer - Elchin Gulamov. Elchin has a visual problem, but that hasn’t stopped him from performing well in front of the audience.

The audience creatively perceived the performance of dutarist Sokhbet Annamuradov, who stood on stage with an imperturbable look, as is customary with Bakhshi. The audience warmly welcomed the American performers, appreciating their stage charm. By the way, this is not the first time two of them have come to Turkmenistan.

The final issue, the song "You will be found", was performed by all the vocalists. The friendship and mutual understanding of the Turkmen and American artists was felt in the fusion of voices.

The concert at the Mukam Palace was the starting point of a tour that will be attended by guests from the USA, also Turkmen singers and musicians. The next concert venue is the Turkmenbashi city.
