The State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klichev on the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Indian actor and filmmaker Raja Kapur made an Indian music and dance concert.
The concert was held in the Palace of Mukamov of the State Cultural Center, where fans of Indian music and, above all, Raj Kapoor came together. Raj Kapur as the hero of the film “Mr. 420” opened the concert. “I am dressed like in a picture ...” The words from the lips of the smiling Raj Kapoor sounded and returned many spectators during the years of childhood. This song was sang in every yard. And from the stage it was performed by Bahram Khuseinov, so much so that he could be easily confused with Raj Kapur. Then Bahram Khuseinov also masterly performed a song from the film "Tramp".
As soon as shots from the movie "Zita and Gita" appeared on the screen, friendly applause came in the hall. This number, was jointly performed with Bahram Khuseinov, Tachnabat Yumudova and the dance ensemble of Turkmenistan. Everything in the performance was stunned - the sonorous and high voice of the Tachnabat, the synchronism of the movements of the dancers. The dance on the screen coincided with the dance on stage, and it seemed that our artists were dancing with the Indian.
The concert program featured songs from the films "Andaz", "Devdas", "The Unprotected Bride", "Revenge and the Law", "Alibaba and 40 Robbers", "Disco Dancer" and others.
The vocalists Guzel Annakhanova, Gulzada Gorganova, Dovran Shammiev and Mansur Sharipov, played at the concert as a soloists of the State Symphony Orchestra, they impressed the audience with their performing skills.
The concert brought incomparable pleasure not only to the audience, but also to the artists.
