On March 14, 2025, a briefing was held in Singapore dedicated to the announcement of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” and the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

The event was attended by heads and staff members of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport, Trade and Industry of the Republic of Singapore, the Singapore Cooperation Enterprise, heads of diplomatic missions of Central Asian states accredited in this country, scientists and mass media representatives.

During the event, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Singapore (with residence in Seoul) B.Durdyyev told about the important political, diplomatic, economic and cultural events that will be held in our country during the year.

In this context, the participants focused their attention on high-level events in 2025 to mark the 30th anniversary of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.

The briefing included information on major programs and projects implemented in the country by the efforts of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Concept of Activities and Priorities of Turkmenistan in the current year was voiced.

A presentation of the new book by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Magtymguly – the Sage of the World” and the work of the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov “Hakyda göwheri” was also held.

During the event, an overview of the current bilateral cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Singapore was given, and a number of proposals were voiced in the context of preparations for the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which will be celebrated next year.

As part of the working visit to the Republic of Singapore, Ambassador of Turkmenistan B.Durdyyev met with high-ranking officials of the Office of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Transport, Trade and Industry.

During the talks, a mutual exchange of views took place on the issues of Turkmen-Singaporean relations agenda, in particular, such areas as organizing high-level visits, holding political consultations, developing inter-parliamentary ties and interaction within international organizations, expanding trade and economic contacts and intensifying cultural exchanges.
