At the festive exhibition, which opened on the 17th of March in honour of the achievements of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, celebrating its 17th anniversary, new products of private enterprises, the work of large construction companies, agricultural products - vegetables, cereals, meat and dairy products, confectionery, fruit juices, etc. were presented.
Demonstrating the successes of the agricultural sector, which is one of the important sectors of the national economy, the farm «Düýeguş» also presented its products.
We talked to Anastasiya Stepanisheva, sales manager of the «Düýeguş» farm:
– Our farm, established in 2022 in Turkmenistan, covers an area of 5 hectares and contains 2 thousand African ostriches. We plan to increase their number to 10 thousand. The farm is engaged in the supply of environmentally friendly meat products to the population, incubation of chicken eggs, raising chickens and fattening ostriches. They are fed natural food without growth hormones, due to which the meat and eggs of the bird are not only tasty, but also an invaluable product for health. Ostrich meat is rich in protein, low in calories and contains many useful microelements. The skin of this bird is an ideal material for creating high-quality products. We are currently working on the production of various bags, shoes, jackets, bookcases from ostrich leather. It is similar to crocodile and elephant skin, but its quality is higher, the texture is softer and more elastic. One ostrich can produce about 1.5 square meters of raw material.
In addition, bird feathers are used in various fields: for cleaning dust from the smallest electronic and optical parts, mechanisms, and in the perfume industry - for demonstrating aromas. Strong, large bird feathers are highly valued in decorative and fine arts. Various compositions and souvenirs are made from them. Bird fat is an invaluable natural medicine. It improves vision and affects the condition of hair, nails and skin. One ostrich egg replaces 20-30 chicken eggs.
We pay special attention to each stage of the product development process. Our goal is to produce natural, organic products that are healthy.
