The exhibition «Enjoying the Taste of China. Meeting and Learning» was completed in the exhibition hall of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. It was initiated by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.
Interest in the theme of horses brings together the peoples of China and Turkmenistan. During the month, Ashgabat residents and guests of the capital had the opportunity to get acquainted with rare exhibits of fine art by masters from China on this theme and fully enjoy the exquisite taste of the artists of the Celestial Empire. And now the final day of the exhibition has arrived.
The ceremony of the grand closing of the exhibition was attended by employees of a number of embassies accredited in Turkmenistan, artists, specialists of the State Association «Turkmenatlary», as well as the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, teachers and students of higher educational institutions of the capital.
Let us remind you that the exhibition presents an impressive exposition of 155 saddles for riding, made by ancient Chinese masters. Each saddle is a separate story. Most of them probably carried riders from one country to another during the Great Silk Road. Restorers help them to be perfectly preserved to this day, skillfully adjusting the decorations made of leather, bone and bronze.
The theme of horses is widely represented in paintings and original design works of modern Chinese artists. A magnificent gift for the people of Turkmenistan was the exposition of a collection of 40 elegant figurines of the famous white porcelain «Dehua». The snow-whiteness of the porcelain and numerous small details of the sculptures amaze with their uniqueness. By the way, several sculptures by modern Chinese artists are dedicated to Ahal-Teke horses.
To the tunes of the string quartet of the State Music School named after Danatar Ovezov, visitors to the exhibition once again looked at the most valuable exhibits of the museums of the Celestial Empire. Many of the visitors took away toys given to them as a souvenir of this exhibition - colourful dragons, pandas, snakes, as well as catalogs with descriptions of the exhibits displayed at the exhibition.
