In 2022, it will be 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations of Turkmenistan with many states of the world, which became the recognition of its international legal personality as an independent state. Diplomatic relations are the main form of maintaining official relations between sovereign states and other subjects of international law.
The first state to establish diplomatic relations with independent Turkmenistan on January 6, 1992 was the People's Republic of China.
