The team of the Specialized Children's and Youth School of the Olympic Reserve “Dostluk” from Turkmenistan became the silver prizewinner of the 3rd Eurasian Club Tournament, which was held in Moscow among boys born in 2007-2008 from the CIS countries.
The competitions were held in a round-robin system, following which the teams that took the first two places advanced to the final.
At the start of the tournament, the wards of Eziz Annamuhamedov first lost to their peers from the national team of Belarus - 1:6, then took over the team “FSHM” of the Department of Sports and Tourism of Moscow - 3:2 and beat FC “Torpedo” from the city of military glory Rzhev, Tver region - 5:1.
As a result, having scored 6 points, the Turkmen football players took the second place.
In the final, fate again brought the “Dostluk” team together with the youth team of Belarus, the winner of the preliminary stage of the competition.
The main time of the final match, which took place on the field of SC “Oktyabr” PFC CSKA, ended in a draw - 1:1. As a result, the winner had to be determined in a penalty shoot-out, in which the players from Belarus turned out to be more successful - 6:5.
