The circle of contenders for the Cup of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan has been reduced to four teams.

Recall that the fight for the honorary trophy at the stadiums of Ashgabat was fought by nine teams, which at the first stage of the competition were divided into two groups.

In group "A" for two tickets to the semi-finals they argued: "Akhal", "Merv", "Nebitchi", "Kopetdag-2" and the Olympic team of Turkmenistan (U23). And in group "B" - "Shagadam", "Ashgabat", Energetik" and the youth team of Turkmenistan (U20).

In group "A", having won three victories and played one match - 0:0 with "Merv", "Akhal" excelled with 10 points. The second semi-finalist with 9 points was the Balkanabat "Nebitchi", which has three wins and only one defeat from "Ahal" - 0:4.

In group "B", having won two victories and played one match in a draw - 1:1 with "Ashgabat", the first place with 7 points was taken by "Shagadam" from the city of Turkmenbashi. The other semi-finalist in this group with 5 points was Ashgabat, which has 1 win and 2 draws, including with the Mary "Energetik" - 1:1.

Thus, in the first semi-final, "Ahal" and "Ashgabat" will meet, and in the other, which can rightly be called the Balkan derby, "Shagadam" and "Nebitchi".

In the meantime, two play-offs took place in the tournament. In the duel for the 7th place, the youth team of Turkmenistan (U20) won against the reserve team of Kopetdag - 2:1, and in the game for the 5th place, in the so-called Mary derby, Merv only defeated Energetik in a penalty shoot-out - 5:4 (in regular time - 0:0).
