Volleyball players of the national team of Turkmenistan won the second victory at the Central Asian Challenge Cup taking place in Bishkek, beating the hosts of the competition, the team of Kyrgyzstan, in five games 3:2.
Recall that the men's national teams of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are fighting for the honorary trophy.
In the opening match, our compatriots won a strong-willed victory over Kazakhstan in a bitter struggle - 3:2 (19:25, 20:25, 25:21, 25:22, 15:13).
The match with the national team of Kyrgyzstan was not easy either. The first game was for the Turkmen volleyball players - 28:26. In the second opponent bounced back - 25:17. Having won in the third - 25:21, the team of Turkmenistan again took the lead - 2:1. However, in the fourth, the Kyrgyzstanis prevailed - 25:23, and the score became a draw - 2:2. The fate of the meeting was decided in the final game, in which the Turkmen team turned out to be stronger - 15:8.
In another match of the second round, Kazakhstan won the first victory, confidently defeating Uzbekistan in three games - 3:0.
Thus, after two rounds, the teams of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan have 4 points each. The team of Uzbekistan, which has no points yet, closes the standings.
In the third round, the Turkmen team will play with rivals from Uzbekistan, and the national teams of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan will play a match between themselves.
The winner of the Central Asian Challenge Cup will be announced on July 27.
