The volleyball team of Turkmenistan reached the semi-finals of the Central Asian Challenge Cup, having won the third victory at the tournament held in Bishkek.
The honorary trophy is contested by the men's national teams of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
After victories in five games over the teams of Kazakhstan - 3:2 (19:25, 20:25, 25:21, 25:22, 15:13) and Kyrgyzstan - 3:2 (28:26, 17:25, 25: 21, 23:25, 15:8) the Turkmen team confidently beat the rivals from Uzbekistan - 3:0 (25:18, 25:13, 25:10) and advanced to the semi-finals from the first place with 7 points.
In another match of the third round, the national team of Kyrgyzstan beat the team of Kazakhstan with a score of 3: 1 and reached the 1/2 finals from second place.
After this match, the semi-final pairs became known. In the first semi-final, the national team of Turkmenistan will play with the team of Uzbekistan, which took 4th place at the preliminary stage of the tournament. Volleyball players from Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan will meet in another semi-final.
The final will take place on July 27.
