The first three medals - gold, silver and bronze - appeared in the treasury of the Turkmenistan team at the 7th Summer International Sports Games "Children of Asia" held in Vladivostok among athletes aged 13-16.
Athlete Sabina Kasimdzhanova won the highest standard award. In the 3000 meters race, she was ahead of her rivals, who represented the teams of Uzbekistan, the Urals, Sakhalin, Siberia, Primorye-2 and the Far East region of Russia. The second at the finish line in this type of program was Russian Polina Vyalova, and the third was Rukhshona Mukhiddinova from Uzbekistan.
Ilyas Allanazarov and Alibek Dzhumanov became silver medalists in table tennis competitions in doubles. Ilyas, who was the standard bearer of our team at the opening ceremony of the Games, is a student of the 43rd Ashgabat school for gifted children named after the Hero of Turkmenistan Atamurat Niyazov, and Alibek studies at the school for training young Olympians.
10 teams competed for medals among tennis players in doubles. Our small racket masters reached the final, where they lost to Serafim Orlov and Ilya Konyukhov from the team of the Ural Federal District of the Russian Federation. The bronze medals went to Bator Radnaev and Ilya Durkhisanov from the team of the Far Eastern Federal District of the Russian Federation, as well as Shorukh Iskandarov and Damir Dzhuzbanov from Uzbekistan.
The Greco-Roman style wrestler Aly Sytdyev became the owner of the bronze medal in the team of Turkmenistan. Our compatriot achieved this success in the weight category up to 62 kg, in which the Russian Egor Kalashnikov won the gold. Silver in this weight category went to Nurmuhammad Rozikov from Uzbekistan, and Russian Irakli Chkhapelia became the second bronze medalist.
According to the results of five days of competition, the team of Turkmenistan with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals takes 8th place in the team standings among 13 teams with medals.
At the VII International Sports Games "Children of Asia" 273 sets of medals in 19 sports are contested by representatives of 13 countries.
The team of Turkmenistan at the Games is represented by 62 athletes who compete for medals in nine sports - 3x3 basketball, boxing, kurash wrestling, athletics, table tennis, swimming, sambo, wrestling (Greco-Roman and freestyle) and archery.
The VII International Sports Games "Children of Asia" will end on August 8.
