Turkmenistan approaches the Day of the Turkmen Horse, a national holiday, which is celebrated annually on the last Sunday of April, with new achievements in the development of horse breeding infrastructure, strengthening its scientific foundations and expanding international relations in this area.
During a Sunday working trip to the city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy located there, established in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan signed in February. The new higher educational institution was created "in order to preserve the breeding purity of the Akhal-Teke horses, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people, to increase their numbers, as well as to train personnel on a scientific basis."
Pygy Bayramdurdyev, an honored worker of arts and national horse breeder of Turkmenistan, was appointed its rector. He became widely known as the leader of the famous group of national equestrian games "Galkynysh". At the same time, he is a co-author of the works "Aty saýlamagyň düzgünleri" published last year on the rules for choosing a horse and "Ahalteke atlaryna çylşyrymly tilsimileri öwreretmegiň sungaty" on the art of teaching Akhal-Teke horses difficult tricks. Written in collaboration with M. Rejepgulyev, they are intended as a scientific and practical guide for beginners, students and lovers of Akhal-Teke horse breeding. And quite recently, Pygy Bayramdurdyev defended his dissertation for the degree of candidate of sciences.
The Research and Production Center for Horse Breeding and the State Equestrian Circus named after Gyorogly, which are important for the development of horse breeding and national art, will also operate in the city of Arkadag. During a visit to the Research and Production Center for Horse Breeding, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that the principles of national horse breeding would be improved taking into account the achievements of modern science, and all conditions were created in the center for this. As for the Gyorogly State Equestrian Circus, it is called upon to play an important role in the development of national equestrian games and equestrian sports in the country, bringing them to the international level. It is planned to hold international competitions here, which will help increase the world fame of the Akhal-Teke horses, the physical and spiritual development of the younger generation and inspire them to new successes in equestrian sports.
Thus, the city of Arkadag will become a center for the development of horse breeding science, holding international events and circus festivals. As the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was informed, the heads of the Akhal-Teke equestrian complexes and structures located in different countries of the world, and well-known horse breeders are showing great interest in establishing cooperation with the Aba Annayev International Horse Breeding Academy, the Research and Production Center for Horse Breeding, the Gyorogly State Equestrian Circus , built in the city of Arkadag, to conduct joint scientific work, exchange of experience and want to visit our country.
