The International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev discussed the creation of the Lu Ban Workshop on the basis of the university.
On this topic, a working meeting was held with the participation of members of the leadership, faculty of the university and representatives of the China National Oil and Gas Corporation «International Ltd» in Turkmenistan, as well as Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University and Xi'an Petroleum University.
As is known, the initiative to promote the Lu Ban Workshop project in Turkmenistan was voiced in the Joint Statement signed by President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of PRC Xi Jinping following the talks in Beijing in January this year.
At the thematic meeting at the university, joint plans and specific tasks related to the creation of the Lu Ban Workshop at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev were considered as part of the implementation of the Lu Ban Workshop project of the same name.
In particular, they talked about the design of the educational building for the workshop and the organization of its work at the level of modern world standards. The issues of training future specialists were discussed in detail, including areas of training, curricula and programs, courses and trainings to improve the skills of oil and gas industry specialists, and much more. The theme of the meeting of colleagues was also equipping the workshop with high-quality training equipment, which will be provided by the Chinese side.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to form a Turkmen-Chinese working group to create a Lu Ban workshop at the International University of Oil and Gas named after Yagshygeldy Kakaev and conclude an appropriate Memorandum of Understanding.
The participants of the event expressed confidence that the opening of Lu Ban's Workshop in the capital's university will greatly contribute to the formation of high-level specialists, engineers, technologists with deep knowledge and professional skills in the context of rapidly developing innovative technologies.
Lu Ban's workshops are named after the legendary ancient Chinese master inventor. According to legend, it was he who invented many hand tools that are used by workers to this day.
The format of the workshops named after Lu Ban was invented in the Chinese city of Tianjin. They train future specialists in industrial automation, energy, construction, transport, communications, IT, and even traditional Chinese medicine.
Lu Ban's workshop system, which originated in China, subsequently gained popularity around the world. Today, such workshops are successfully operating in more than two dozen countries in Asia, Europe and Africa. Currently, the Lu Ban Workshops are a grandiose project that has created a new platform for international exchange and cooperation in the field of science and vocational education.
