A series of subject Olympiads among graduate students of secondary schools of the country, organized by the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, has started in Turkmenistan.
In general, four subject Olympiads will be held for schoolchildren - in physics, chemistry, mathematics and modern computer technologies. The Olympiads are held in three languages - Turkmen, Russian and English. Each of the Olympiads includes two rounds. I (First) rounds of the Olympiads are organized online, the II (Second) stages will be held in person. The students who showed the best results and scored the most points in the first rounds will be eligible to participate in the second stages of subject competitions.
The first in a series of subject Olympiads, the Olympiad in Physics, was launched today for high school students of Turkmenistan who demonstrate good performance in this subject. For the participants of the 1st round of the competition, tasks from the school curriculum in physics were prepared, the solution of which was given 120 minutes (2 hours).
Tomorrow, on the 18th of April, the first round of the second subject Olympiad will take place, on the site of which young experts in chemistry will perform. On the 19th and 20th of April, I (First) rounds of Olympiads in mathematics and modern computer technologies will be held.
The Olympiads are organized in order to identify the most talented and gifted high school students who have in-depth knowledge of subjects and are able to independently solve complex problems, stimulate the educational and cognitive activity of students, their interest in in-depth study of the exact and natural sciences, as well as the formation of future specialists in a rapidly developing industry national economy.
Subject Olympiads are held as part of the implementation of the tasks of the Concept for the development of the digital education system in Turkmenistan and the Concept for improving the teaching of natural and exact sciences in the country.
