The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted two semi-final games of the second season of the intellectual competition «Young heralds of the world», held among high school students of the country's schools.
Based on the results of the semi-final games, a team of finalists was formed - the eight leaders of the second season of the project. These participants are already the winners of the competition, among whom prizes will be distributed in the final.
So, according to the results of the 1st semifinal game, the four finalists included Mekan Agakhanov, a student of the 11th grade of the comprehensive school №16 in Ashgabat, Anvar Bekmedov, a student of the 10th grade of the secondary school №24 in the city of Dashoguz, Dashoguz velayat, Yhlas Hallyyev, a student of the 11th grade of a special music school - a boarding school at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after M. Kuliyeva, Guljan Serdarova, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized school with in-depth study of the humanities and English in the city of Mary, Mary velayat.
The second four finalists and leaders of the II semi-final game were represented by Aigul Sahedova, a student of the 10th grade of the specialized secondary school №35 with in-depth study of foreign languages of the Sakarchage etrap of the Mary Velayat, Dovletmyrat Arazov, a student of the 11th grade of the capital’s specialized secondary school №86, Azat Amansahedov, a student of the 10th grade of the specialized secondary school secondary school №43 in the city of Shatlyk, Sakarchage etrap, Mary velayat and Davut Gezerov, a student of the 11th grade of a specialized school with in-depth study of English and the humanities in Mary, Mary velayat.
The semi-final tests were held on the topic «Dialogue of Civilizations - a Fundamental Basis for World Peace». In each of the two semi-final games, teams of 8 schoolchildren performed, in general, 16 strongest participants in the four games of the qualifying stage of the project. They included students of grades 9-11 of schools in Ashgabat, Ahal, Balkan, Mary and Dashoguz velayats of the country.
The participants were evaluated by members of a competent jury, which was presented by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Chynar Rustemova, Head of the Department of Archeology of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Candidate of Historical Sciences Allaguly Berdiyev, Head of the Department of Social Sciences of the Turkmen State Institute of Finance, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor Meretguly Ovluyagulyev and Senior Lecturer of the Department of World History of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, Shamuhammet Akmyradov.
The winners and all participants of the games were presented with valuable gifts from the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan and sponsors of the event, as well as diplomas and letters of thanks from the university-organizer of the project.
The sponsors of the games were the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, the National Archery Federation of Turkmenistan, the State Association «Turkmenhaly», OJSC «Abadan haly», ES «Aydyň gijeler», ES «Muhammet Balkan», IE «Ýedi Dogan».
Ahead of the participants is an exciting finale, which will be held at the IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan on May 15 this year. The final test will be devoted to the topic «The Tree of the World - the continuity of generations». The organizers recommend that the finalists refresh their knowledge with the help of thematic literature that was offered to prepare for the games of the qualifying stage of the second season of the project.
