In the coming month, the capital of Turkmenistan will again become the venue for international competitions. This time Ashgabat will host the participants of the Central Asian Tennis Championship among boys and girls under 12 years old.

Deputy Prime Minister N. Amannepesov, who is in charge of sports, said at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers that the regional tournament will be held from 5th to 9th of June in the tennis complex of the Ashgabat Olympic village. Representatives from Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and our country will take part in the competitions held by the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan together with the International and Asian Federations of this sport.

Summing up the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of holding the upcoming prestigious tournament in the Turkmen capital at the highest level, taking into account its importance for further enhancing the sports authority of sovereign Turkmenistan, strengthening traditionally friendly relations with foreign countries and their fraternal peoples, addressing the Vice-premier with specific instructions.
