Turkmenistan invited the Republic of Hungary to develop a mutually beneficial partnership in the oil and gas sector and hydrogen production. These issues were key at the talks between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, who paid an official visit to Ashgabat.

During the talks, it was noted that Turkmenistan ranks 4th in the world in terms of natural gas reserves. In this context, the expediency of considering the possibilities of mutually beneficial partnership in this area was noted.

Also during the meeting, it was emphasized that a promising and highly demanded direction today is the production of hydrogen from natural gas.

«Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals of Hungarian colleagues in this segment», Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted in this regard.
