The meeting was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the National Investment Agency under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The Kyrgyz delegation included heads of representatives of 17 Kyrgyz companies operating in the textile industry, production of construction materials, food industry, IT technologies, and petrochemistry.
From the Turkmen side, the meeting was attended by representatives of 40 companies and entrepreneurs working in the field of construction materials, transport and logistics, food industry, textile industry and IT-technology.
The meeting focused on the development of Turkmen-Kyrgyz trade and economic relations, in particular the expansion of export opportunities of the states, as well as the active cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries.
The growth of trade turnover between the two countries was noted, and there was indicated the need to expand the commodity nomenclature and formats of bilateral cooperation. They also confirmed their interest in intensifying joint work and expressed readiness to continue close cooperation in this direction.
As a result of the bilateral meetings, there were signed 36 documents on cooperation in various areas of joint activity.
