The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners and prize-winners of the essay contest "The Role of Diplomacy in the 21st Century", held by the university among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
The Grand Prix of the competition was awarded to Arslan Mammadov, a student of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi.
The first place was won by Mengli Charyeva, a student at the International University for the Humanities and Development. Second place went to Mekan Annagulyev (Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi), third place was awarded to Ayjeren Orazberdiyeva (Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly).
In order to conduct an objective and fair assessment of the participants, the creative works of students of the Higher School of Diplomacy were considered by the jury in a separate category.
The results of IIR of MFA students of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country are as follows:
Aygul Meredova was declared the winner and the owner of the first place. The second place was given to Oguzhan Piriyev. The third place was taken by three participants - Erem Dovletmyradov, Ejesh Taganova and Davut Nazmuradov.
The winners and prize-winners of the creative competition were awarded diplomas of the corresponding degrees from the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and valuable gifts from the sponsor of the event, “Aýdyň gijeler”.
The competition was organized in honor of 2023, declared the "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace" at the initiative of Turkmenistan, which was supported by the United Nations General Assembly by adopting a special resolution.
The competition of creative works among students of domestic universities was held in Russian. Participants were invited to prepare an article on one of the following thematic areas: "Dialogue is a guarantee of peace" - a new philosophy of international relations, "The role of a foreign language in intercultural communication", "Dialogue of cultures and UNESCO", "Cultural diplomacy - the language of interethnic dialogue".
Among the main goals and objectives of the competition are the identification of talented and capable young people, the development of the creative potential of young people, the strengthening of interaction between higher educational institutions of the country, increasing the motivation of students to study the Russian language, as one of the official languages of the UN and the language of interethnic communication, developing students writing skills in Russian.
In addition, the competition is aimed at promoting the philosophy of dialogue as a tool for building bridges and establishing links between countries in maintaining and strengthening peace at the global level, strengthening in the minds of young people the traditions of peaceful and trusting coexistence of the peoples of the world, a culture of trust and respectful dialogue.
