In the higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan, events are widely and solemnly held as part of the annual traditionally eventful and vibrant atmosphere of the Week of Culture-2023, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as Magtymguly Pyragy’s Poetry, which is celebrated in the country on the 27th of June.
«Humanistic views of Magtymguly Pyragy: culture as an instrument of peacemaking» - under this title, a scientific and practical conference was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. It was attended by researchers from the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan, professors, teachers, students of the Institute and other universities of the country.
During the plenary session of the conference, the high importance of popularizing the literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy, the role of the greatest genius in the development of national statehood and the contribution of the humanist poet to the treasury of universal spiritual values were discussed.
The role of the policy of broad international scientific cooperation pursued by the Respected President of the country, as well as the fundamental changes carried out at the initiative of the Hero-Arkadag and contributing to the expansion of cultural and humanitarian international contacts, the study and popularization of the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, was emphasized.
As noted, Magtymguly, who dedicated his talent to serving enduring universal values, is one of the significant figures in the spiritual and intellectual world process. The participants stated that the significance of Magtymguly's work, which had a great influence on the development of the artistic thought of the peoples of the world, goes far beyond national borders and requires further in-depth and comprehensive study.
The work of the conference was organized in four scientific sections: «Creativity of Magtymguly Pyragy - high ideals of peacefulness», «Culture - the principle of the spiritual life of society», «Economy and culture of Turkmenistan - interconnected relics», «Magtymguly Pyragy- the light of world poetry».
The most interesting life and the richest literary heritage of the legendary creator was devoted to the scientific and practical conference «Creativity of Magtymguly Pyragy - the school of education», which took place within the walls of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the plenary session and five scientific sections, more than 180 thematic reports prepared by the participants - professors, researchers, teachers, graduate students and students of the institute were heard.
The presentations repeatedly emphasized the importance and need for further study and wide popularization of the literary heritage of Magtymguly Pyragy, the great poet, the founder of Turkmen classical literature, whose work is invariably an inexhaustible source of inspiration, morality, patriotism, courage and an exemplary school of education for the younger generation.
The festive conference was decorated with dance numbers and patriotic songs performed by the creative team of the «Kuvvat» of the University. A real celebration for the glory of national culture and art took place at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov.
As part of the widely celebrated Week of Culture in the country, timed to coincide with the Day of Workers of Culture and Art, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Pyragy, a thematic exhibition was launched at the university. It featured exquisite jewellery, unsurpassed Turkmen carpets and rugs, traditional national clothes and other works of craftsmen and artisans.
Unique colorful and spectacular Turkmen national dances and songs were included in the program of a large festive concert at the university, prepared by talented and active student enthusiasts of the university's amateur art group.
The sensual lines of Magtymguly's poems, imbued with the deepest meaning, lofty patriotic ideas and thoughts, sounded heartfelt at the festive site at the university. The literary and musical composition created on their basis, performed by student youth, multiplied the deeply creative and warm atmosphere of a bright holiday.
The participants of the event expressed their sincere gratitude to the Respected President of Turkmenistan, Hero-Arkadag for all the necessary conditions created in the country for successful study and fruitful work, provided ample opportunities for the comprehensive development of youth, a happy, peaceful and prosperous life in an independent neutral state, which he dreamed of in his prophetic works of the great Magtymguly.
