The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan celebrated the second graduation of specialists who were trained at the university under the master's program with a solemn event.

This year, 53 masters graduated from the Higher School of Diplomacy in six areas: Public International Law, Private International Law, Digital Diplomacy, Oriental Studies, Analysis and Strategic Planning, Political Communication and Internet Journalism.

The first three directions from the above were introduced at the university in the 2021-2022 academic year, when for the first time the IIR of the country's MFA launched training at the second stage of higher education - in the master's program. In the 2022-2023 academic year, respectively, three more areas of master's training appeared, in which 16 young specialists out of 53 graduates of this year's master's program as a whole were trained.

The graduates successfully passed the state exams and defended their master's theses. During the solemn graduation ceremony, they gladly accepted warm congratulations and parting words from the leadership, professors and teachers of the diplomatic university.

Addressing the graduates of the magistracy, representatives of the university expressed their firm confidence in their prosperous future and that the knowledge, skills, experience, high qualifications acquired during the study period would serve to further develop the fruitful interaction of our country with foreign partners, promote international initiatives of Turkmenistan aimed at strengthening and achieving universal peace, security and stability.

It was emphasized that the training of highly qualified personnel in demand in the modern diplomatic environment, relevant and actively developing areas of international relations will further strengthen the role and position of Turkmenistan in the world community.

It should be noted that the master's program is designed for one academic year and is intended for bachelors, young specialists from state institutions and non-governmental organizations specializing in international relations and striving to receive an in-depth legal education.

During the period of study, according to the chosen direction of training, students mastered the specialized disciplines introduced into the curriculum, taking into account international best practices and innovative national practices in the relevant areas.

In order to consolidate the material, master's students performed individual practical, group tasks under the guidance of experts from government agencies, participated in joint discussions and discussions on the topics of situations arising in practice and their resolution.

In addition, students were actively engaged in research activities, took part in thematic international and state scientific and practical conferences, scientific forums.

Another important component of the master's program was the practice on the basis of the Scientific and Methodological Centre for Sustainable Development Goals, the Training Centre for priority areas of diplomacy of Turkmenistan, the Scientific Centre for Strategic Studies, which are part of the institute.
