The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a presentation of a new book by the Hero-Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people "Arkadag - the City of the Future".
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations accredited in Ashgabat, professors, teachers, students of the capital's universities, media representatives.
During the presentation, speeches were made by the rector of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan J. Gurbangeldiyev, the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the university G. Yusupova, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan M. Byashimova, as well as professors and teachers of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, the Turkmen State Architectural and Construction Institute, Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, Turkmen State Institute of Finance.
In the speeches of the participants, the uniqueness of the new book of the Hero-Arkadag was emphasized, which tells a wide range of readers about an modern and advanced city that has appeared in one of the most picturesque corners of our beautiful Motherland. The new book "Arkadag şäheri - geljegiň şäheri" ("Arkadag - the city of the future"), published on the eve of the opening ceremony of the first stage of the new "smart" city of Arkadag, became a worthy gift in honor of a significant celebration.
The book tells how the city was built, contains comprehensive information about the construction work performed. The publication, made at a high printing level, includes colorful photo illustrations that give a visual representation of the features of modern buildings and structures. The book is published in three languages - Turkmen, English and Russian, which makes it accessible to a wide readership, including foreign ones.
As emphasized, the city of Arkadag can rightly be called the "city of the future", which entered the annals of the modern history of Turkmenistan with golden letters as an irrefutable evidence of the economic, scientific and technological development of the country, which has relied on the active introduction of high technologies in all spheres of life. In addition, the first “smart” city of Arkadag in Turkmenistan, which was built in accordance with international requirements for ecological construction, is already included in the project “Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the OSCE region”, which indicates its international recognition .
With the initiative to develop projects and programs for the construction of the "smart" city of Arkadag, students of domestic universities and young professionals were actively involved. This is a clear example of the opportunities that promising Turkmen youth can use in large-scale transformations, the practical implementation of innovative projects in the country.
In continuation of the meeting, an interested exchange of views took place on potential areas for joint research in the field of digital solutions and intellectual capabilities, future projects of smart homes and cities, the introduction of innovative technologies in education and science, and the digital economy.
Firm confidence was expressed that the city of Arkadag would become one of the pearls of modern world urban planning, an example of the most responsible state approach to the integrated development of urban infrastructure. The participants also expressed their conviction that the new city, named after the proud name of its founder - Arkadag, would become not only a convenient and comfortable place for people to live, but also one of the main centers of education, culture, science and broad international cooperation.
