Two dozen new areas of training opened in the universities of Turkmenistan

Admission campaign-2023 to higher educational institutions of the country has been launched in the capital and velayat centres of Turkmenistan.

Remind that the admission campaign started on the 17th of July and will last in the country until 28th of August. In particular, the acceptance of documents is carried out until 30th of July, then, on 2nd of August, the time for entrance exams will begin.

This important campaign has been organized at a high level, and all necessary conditions have been created for its successful implementation. Specially created state commissions work with applicants on the ground, openness and accessibility of information for applicants is ensured.

The universities of Turkmenistan offer applicants a wide range of areas of professional training, the list of which this year includes two dozen new specialties.

The largest number - 6 new areas of vocational training opened at the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan. Among them: power supply of railways; locomotives; wagons; real estate appraisal and management; ground transport and technological means; digital infrastructure and cybersecurity.

4 new areas of training appeared at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management: accounting, analysis and audit; finance; economics and organization of production (in public catering); business Informatics.

Similarly, 4 new areas of specialization in the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction: information security; civil defense planning in architectural and construction works; civil defense in road construction works; civil defense in the chemical industry and its application.

The Turkmen Agricultural Institute for the first time begins training personnel in the specialty «technology for processing agricultural products».

The specialty «information security management» (in agriculture) has been introduced at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Nyyazov.

The training of specialists in the new direction «social work» will be conducted by the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly and the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after S. Seydi.

New areas of training for the master's program have been introduced at the Turkmen State Institute of Finance - «entrepreneurship and finance» and at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan - «international economics».

In general, changes regarding new specialties have been introduced into the curricula of 9 universities.

In addition, this year for the first time opened its doors to applicants for the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annayev, located in the innovative city of Arkadag, inaugurated in Turkmenistan on 29th of June this year. The new university was established in order to preserve the purity of the breed and increase the number of Ahal-Teke horses, which are the national pride and heritage of the Turkmen people, and to provide comprehensive training of specialized qualified personnel on a scientific basis.

Academy students will study under the program of a specialist in the fields of veterinary medicine and animal science (specialties - horse breeding and veterinary medicine). Under the undergraduate program, the university launches training of specialists in the following areas: veterinary medicine and animal science (training areas: horse training; veterinary and sanitary examination); physical culture and sports (directions of training: equestrian sport and equestrian tourism; national equestrian games); performing arts and literary creativity (training area: circus art); economics and management (training areas: economics and agricultural management; accounting and auditing (in agriculture).

So, one more university has appeared in the solid list of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan. The number of new specialties offered by Turkmen universities to young people is steadily growing. Every year, the list of areas of professional training is replenished in them, innovations occur at all levels of higher education, updating university programs for bachelor's, specialist's, and master's programs.

All this is directly related to the need to train high-level personnel in demand for relevant and actively developing areas of the national economy, international relations, social sphere, and at the same time contributes to solving the priority task in the state to bring the national education system to the level of world standards and join Turkmen universities to among the world's leading higher education institutions.
