Rubem Antonio Correa Barbosa, the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federal Republic of Brazil to Turkmenistan, met with representatives of Turkmen universities at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The meeting was attended by teachers and students of the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the International University of Humanities and Development, Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages.
It is known that as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to Turkmenistan, Rubem Antonio Correa Barbosa began his diplomatic mission to strengthen friendly relations and fruitful partnership between the two countries on July 19 this year.
On this basis, the main topics of the meeting included, first of all, getting acquainted with the diplomat, as well as the potential of Turkmen-Brazilian interaction, plans and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries.
The Ambassador told the interested audience in detail about his solid diplomatic, business and life experience, giving examples of memorable fragments of professional activity and impressive events related to it.
During his speech, the distinguished guest visualized the joint work and successful results of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Brazil. The sides talked about the projects under preparation and implemented in the political and diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Speaking about the prospects of bilateral partnership, the diplomat emphasized the existing potential for further expansion of ties in trade and economic spheres, in the fields of science and education, sports and tourism, as well as intensification of cultural dialogue, which contributes to strengthening the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples.
The warm welcome of the Distinguished guest at the Higher School of Diplomacy continued with a tour of the institute, during which the Ambassador also visited a White yurt specially built here for the intellectual contest "Young Messengers of Peace" among high school students of the country – experts in the history of Turkmen diplomacy.
