Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute are expanding cooperation with Russian universities.
In the current month, representatives of the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography and the Federal Service for State Registration, Cadastre and Cartography of the Russian Federation visited Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute.
As it is known, Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and the Turkmen Agricultural Institute train specialists in the field of "Land Construction and Cadastres".
The Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography, which trains specialists in this field, is recognized as a center of basic education in geodesy, cartography, cadastral and remote sensing of the Earth in the CIS countries.
In this regard, there were wide discussions on the prospects of establishing cooperation between Turkmen and Russian universities. It was noted that there are ample opportunities for effective interaction. The meeting outlined priority tasks for the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between universities and relevant ministries of the countries, including training and retraining of specialists and implementation of joint targeted events.
It was emphasized that currently the tasks of technical and technological modernization of agriculture in the country are being solved on an innovative basis within the framework of the "Concept of the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2019-2025", work is underway to launch a unified data system of the State Land Cadastre. In this direction, the experience of foreign countries in training highly qualified specialists is actively studied, and there is an interest in developing cooperation.
The guests visited with great interest the classrooms of the capital's agricultural university, its training centers "John Deere", "Claas", the greenhouse complex, the museum of the animal world, and familiarized themselves with the educational and scientific activities of the university.
The guests from Russia were proudly informed in TAU named after S.A. Niyazov that a complex of buildings of the Turkmen Agricultural University and its associated scientific and production sites, a greenhouse complex, experimental fields and specialized scientific institutions will be constructed in the city of Arkadag in the near future.
Continuing the theme of cooperation, it was noted that the mutual desire to develop Turkmen-Russian partnership in the field of science and education is demonstrated by the increasingly active participation of Russian university students in Olympiads organized by higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.
This year, excellent results were achieved by students of Chuvash State Pedagogical University named after I. Yakovlev, Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Southern Federal University, Arzamas branch of N.I. Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod in the Olympiad in ecology organized by TAU named after S.A. Niyazov.
Among the winners of the recent Engineering and Computer Graphics Olympiad of the Turkmen Agricultural Institute were students from the Baltic State Technical University "VOENMEH" named after D.F. Ustinov, Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev, Reshetnev Siberian State University of Science and Technology, and other Russian universities.
This year, an Agreement on Cooperation was signed between the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov and Astrakhan State University named after V.N. Tatishchev. Documents on cooperation with this Russian university were also signed by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the International University for the Humanities and Development.
Within the framework of the bilateral agreements between universities of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation, it is planned to expand and intensify cooperation in such areas as organizing educational seminars, conducting scientific and practical consultations and research. Universities will invite each other to participate in academic events, exchange scientific articles and publications, teaching aids and educational programs. Joint activities in the field of education, science and innovation will give a new impetus to the interaction between teachers and students of universities in the two friendly countries, and will also contribute to the strengthening of cultural and humanitarian relations between Turkmenistan and Russia.
