The U.S. Embassy in Turkmenistan is conducting an open competition for participation in the Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program for 2024-2025.
The Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program provides teachers with unique opportunity to improve their professional skills, enhance their teaching expertise, and expand their knowledge about the United States.
Participants will travel to the United States for a six-week program beginning in January or September 2025. The academic program for teachers will include coursework and intensive training in teaching methodologies, lesson planning, and the use of information technology as a teaching tool. Teachers will participate in tailored seminars at a U.S. host university, teach classes in secondary schools, have the opportunity to share their expertise with American colleagues, and gain a detailed understanding of the U.S. education system. Cultural events will also be organized for participants throughout the program.
Candidates for the program should have a higher education degree, Turkmenistan citizenship, be current teachers in secondary schools or language centers in Turkmenistan with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in English, mathematics, natural sciences, social studies and other disciplines.
