The association «Turkmenfilm» named after Oguzhan continues filming a series of documentaries dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classical poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi. The other day, a creative group returned from a business trip to the Republic of Kazakhstan, which, along with filmmakers, also included representatives of science, art and television.
The materials filmed in the neighbouring country will be included in a documentary film with elements of feature films, the literary basis of which was written by screenwriter Rahymberdi Annagulyev. In the film directed by Maksat Gylyjov, the image of Magtymguly was embodied on the screen by the Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan Batyr Charyyev, and the presenter was an employee of the editorial office of information and music programs of the TV and radio channel «Ýaşlyk» Atageldi Rejepgulyyev. Yusup Lallakov, a researcher at the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, took part in the creation of the film.
Among the various episodes of the film are interviews at the National Centre for Manuscripts and Rare Books of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, creative meetings with the participation of heads of accredited diplomatic missions in Astana, representatives of the scientific and creative intelligentsia, Turkmen and Kazakh students studying at universities in Astana, Turkmen art masters and media representatives.
Another creative group is filming a documentary about Magtymguly in the Kyrgyz Republic from the 25th of February to 3rd of March. The film, directed by Palvan Geldiyev, is shot on a literary basis written by «Turkmenfilm» employee Baymyrat Musayev, with the participation of People's Artist of Turkmenistan Dovletmyrat Hanmammedov in the image of Magtymguly, an expert scientist from the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly ANT Chary Kulyyev and Novruz Guyjov as the presenter documentary storytelling.
The participants of this creative group plan to film materials about the translators of Magtymguly’s works into the Kyrgyz language, conduct interviews with employees of the Kyrgyz-Turkish «Manas» University in Bishkek, the Institute of Language and Literature named after. Ch. Aytmatov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Kyrgyz National University and the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with the creators of theatrical performances about the life and work of Magtymguly Fragi in Kyrgyzstan.
Previously, Turkmen filmmakers filmed documentaries for the 300th anniversary of the poet and philospher Magtymguly Fragi in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Türkiye and the Astrakhan region of Russia.
