On March 13, 2024, the International Scientific Conference “The Legacy of Magtymguly Fragi and Turkmen Culture in Europe”, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Austria, was held at the Vienna Diplomatic Academy. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.
The conference became an important platform for highlighting the imperishable heritage of the Turkmen classic, as well as studying the influence of Turkmen culture in Europe.
The conference was attended by ambassadors and representatives of diplomatic missions accredited in Austria, members of parliament, heads of ministries and state agencies, representatives of leading universities and scientific circles of Turkmenistan, Austria, Hungary and the Slovak Republic, members of the Turkmen-Austrian society, Turkmen students studying in educational institutions Austria and other European countries, as well as media representatives.
During the event, speakers presented their reports and presentations on topics such as the study of Magtymguly's manuscripts in European countries, Magtymguly and humanity, as well as Magtymguly's legacy as a source for empowering youth.
In her speech, the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for UNESCO Ch.Rustemova spoke in detail about the inclusion of Magtymguly Fragi’s manuscripts in the UNESCO World List and in the UNESCO list of memorable dates for 2024-2025.
During the event, the presentation of the first book of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth is the support of the Motherland” also took place.
