Today, farmers of Dashoguz province started sowing cotton in accordance with the schedule approved by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at the Cabinet of Ministers meeting held on March 15. Taking into account the soil and climatic conditions, the sowing season here started a little later than in other regions of the country.

According to tradition, the start of work was blessed by honorable elders. After praying to the Almighty for the welfare and prosperity of the Motherland, the Turkmen people and the head of state, they planted the first cotton seeds in the ground and then gave way to the mechanizers.

It should be noted that the potential of the country's agricultural sector is constantly growing due to the implementation of fundamental reforms in this field, the important aspects of which include the creation of modern production and service infrastructure of agriculture, rational use of land and water resources, and the improvement of farming culture.

In the northern region, farmers mainly cultivate medium-fiber varieties of "white gold" such as "Dashoguz-120", "Dashoguz-114", "Gubadag-3", "Jeýhun", "S-4727", "F-149" and "Ýolöten-39".

In the velayat, there is an extensive park of modern specialized equipment for land preparation and cotton care, including high-performance tractors purchased from world leaders in agricultural machinery. Seamless conduct of the spring campaign will be ensured by seeders and other agricultural aggregates.

In addition, brigades have been created, equipped with mobile workshops, welding machines and vehicles for fuel transportation. All of this will allow for uninterrupted rhythm of agricultural work, laying a reliable foundation for future harvests.

Before the start of the responsible season in Dashoguz velayat, a meeting was held with the participation of heads and leading specialists of the etrap hyakimliks, experienced agronomists, mechanizers and tenants-cotton growers.

The participants discussed organizational issues related to timely planting and the quality implementation of relevant agro-technical measures for the cultivation of a rich harvest of "white gold" and other crops.

The song and music performances of masters of arts, glorifying the Motherland, the native people and the country's achievements, added to the festive atmosphere of this event.
