Within the walls of the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after. M.I. Rudomino held an international scientific conference on the topic “The contribution of the Turkmen poet, philosopher and thinker of the East Magtymguly Fragi into world literature." The conference became an important component of a series of events on Russian soil dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the classic Turkmen literature and conducted with the organizational support of the Turkmen diplomatic mission.

Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke at the conference culture of the Russian Federation, foreign diplomats accredited in Moscow, Russian and Turkmen writers, poets, literary critics noted that the importance of Magtymguly Fragi for Turkmen literature are comparable to the value for Russian literature Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. A true patriot of his Fatherland, Magtymguly missed through the heart all the hardships and suffering of his country, so his poems found a direct path to the consciousness of all Turkmens. To this day, the creative heritage of Magtymguly Fragi is a fundamental element of the national identity of the Turkmen people.

The intonational poetry of the conference was emphasized by the recitation of poems great thinker and poet, as well as musical accompaniment of the evening: professional musicians performed songs and romances by Turkmen composers based on Magtymguly’s poems.

The participants of the event helped to immerse themselves in the trusting atmosphere of true nationality an impromptu exhibition of works unfolded in the Oval Hall of the library modern Turkmen fine art.

The conference guests paid tribute mastery of the People's Artists of Turkmenistan Kurbangeldy Kurbanova, Annadurdy Muradaliev, Allaberdy Amangeldyev, Honored Artist of Kossekmurad Nurmuradov and other famous authors.

A deeply symbolic action testifying to the inviolability of the spiritual bonds of Turkmen and Russian literature, was the ceremonial presentation of the main Russian repository of foreign literature of books by Magtymguly Fragi, published in many languages of the world. Precious volumes from hands the head of the Turkmen diplomatic mission, Esen Aydogdiyev, received the general director All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after. M. I. Rudomino Pavel Kuzmin.

A real celebration of poetry (and this is exactly what the scientific conference ultimately became) could not help but end with the primordial national traditions of «Toy» - tasting authentic dishes folk cuisine, as well as folk songs and dances.
