The world of wisdom of Magtymguly became the main theme of the conference in Mary

On the 2nd of May, the Mary Pedagogical School named after Hydyr Deryayev held a scientific and practical conference - «Magtymguly Pyragy - Türkmen halkynyň paýhasly dünýäsi» with the participation of scientists from the Academy of Sciences, teachers and university students. The opening of the event took place in «Bagt köşgi» of Mary velayat, where the school director Maral Annagulyyeva made an opening speech.

She noted that the event, organized as part of the national program to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the great thinker and classical poet, will be held in a hybrid format.

The opening speakers at the conference were: Head of the Department of Postgraduate Studies of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan Gulalek Annanepesova, Head of the Department of Folk Art of the Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences Guljemal Gummanova, Leading employee of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Sciences Kakajan Bayramov, Senior Lecturer at the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Head of the UNESCO Bike Department Divankulyyeva, senior teacher of the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi Agamammet Yazmyradov.

In their speeches, based on the analysis of the immortal creations of the great master of artistic expression, they highlighted various facets of the poet’s creative heritage, emphasized the depth and relevance of his patriotic and humanistic views, and the importance of ethnographic information contained in the works he created. Maral Gurbangeldiyeva, a teacher of English language and literature at the school named after Hydyr Deryayev, spoke about the translations of Magtymguly’s poems into English.

Employees of the academic Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts named after Magtymguly, who joined scientific discussions online, devoted their speeches to topics related to the philosophical lyrics of Magtymguly and Nesimi, Fragi’s views on education, the artistic image of Magtymguly in the works of other poets, and the dreams of the great patriotic poet about a sovereign and free Turkmen state.

As part of the event, a concert was held at which school students performed songs based on the words of Magtymguly. An excursion was organized to the Historical and Local Lore Museum of Mary Velayat and also was given sadaka for the event participants.
