The innovations concern the procedure for acquiring the status of Authorized Economic Operators and the rules for Preliminary Information.
The procedure for including and excluding legal entities from the list of authorized economic operators, as well as the rules for issuing registration certificates, suspending and resuming their validity, was approved in March of this year. Participants were provided with detailed information about the conditions for granting and revoking the status of an authorized economic operator, as well as requirements for their operation.
Attendees were also familiarized with the rules of preliminary information on goods imported into Turkmenistan before their actual arrival. The rules came into force on June 1, 2024, according to which carriers can submit information about goods before their import into Turkmenistan. Preliminary information can be submitted in Turkmen, Russian and/or English languages through the customs information system ASYCUDA World and the TIR-EPD system.
