Specialists from the Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) handed over EPPO Diagnostic Protocols for regulated pests and training equipment to the State Service on Plant Quarantine of the Ministry of Agriculture of Turkmenistan.
The EPPO Diagnostic Protocols are necessary for providing diagnostic results for the export of plant products from Turkmenistan to Europe and the Mediterranean. The training equipment includes an interactive screen, laptop, personal computers, LCD monitors and webcams. This set of equipment will ensure appropriate quality of remote and on-site training, as well as strengthen operational planning capabilities.
The equipment was acquired within the framework of BOMCA 10 Component 3 "Facilitation of Trade". It is designed to improve the work of customs, phyto-sanitary and veterinary agencies.
