Digital business is one of the promising areas of entrepreneurship development in Turkmenistan, which receives state support.
As noted at the Cabinet meeting on Friday, according to the Implementation Plan of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2025, it is planned to take measures to support small and medium-sized businesses specializing in the creation of national software products and the production of special equipment. In this regard, a proposal was submitted to the head of state for consideration on the establishment by «Tehno Merkez» Closed Joint Stock Company (JSC) of the production of various servers and technical means for data storage and protection against cyber threats. Along with this, in the future it is planned to provide maintenance and technical support for server devices, as well as the production of equipment necessary for «smart» city and «smart» home systems that meet international standards. Taking such a step will create additional jobs and improve the professional level of employees.
«Tehno Merkez» is known as the developer of one of the national products - AV Milli One, a shield against cyber threats. This is a multi-platform antivirus software for protecting computers, smartphones, corporate servers and networks, created jointly with JSC «Techno Gurlushyk».
Focusing on creating their own digital model, Turkmen specialists are actively mastering best practices and best practices, and developing cooperation with colleagues abroad. So, in November 2023, a meeting of the management and specialists of «Tehno Merkez» JSC with representatives of leading Russian digital companies took place in Moscow at the site of the Autonomous Non-profit Organization Digital Economy, which is the main platform for business and government interaction on the development of the digital economy in Russia.
During the event, the parties discussed the possibilities of strategic partnership in several areas, including solutions in the field of information security and «smart» city systems, the creation of a national data center, training in the field of IT and information security, as well as regulatory regulation in the field of new technologies, including for the creation of information infrastructure for digital user services.
