On the 29th of July, an event aimed at raising awareness of children's rights was held at the «Ýaşlyk» Children's Health Centre in Gökdere.
The event, organized by the Ministry of Education and the UNICEF Country Office, aimed to provide children with knowledge of their rights in a fun and interactive way. The program of the day included educational games, quizzes and interactive presentations aimed at teaching children their rights in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. Children watched a film about children's rights and climate change, participated in a quiz and took part in a quest where they worked in teams. The sessions were led by young ambassadors of the Sustainable Development Goals, who brought their energy and enthusiasm to the sessions.
As part of the event, children took part in a consultation session where they could share their ideas on the new UNICEF Country Programme for 2026-2030. As noted by Jalpa Ratna, UNICEF Representative in Turkmenistan, interaction with children has a positive impact on the successful implementation of the child rights agenda in the country.
