Alexander Okunev, representative of the Skolkovo Foundation, spoke at the session of the International Conference on Attracting High Technologies and Innovations to the Economy "HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024" and stated the readiness of Russian innovative companies to cooperate with colleagues from Turkmenistan.
According to Alexander Okunev, today a community is being created that recognizes the importance of not only developing but also implementing innovations.
"We see how innovations are actively being implemented in Turkmenistan. Elements of the 'smart' city are emerging, and technological challenges are being addressed in agriculture. In all areas. Therefore, we have huge joint prospects. We can create very good, in-demand products not only in our countries but also worldwide," the speaker emphasized.
The Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow is one of the largest in Europe. It creates conditions for the development and commercialization of new technologies and forms an innovative ecosystem that brings together startups, research institutions and investors. The center hosts more than 4,000 innovative companies that receive state support.
One of the purposes of the Skolkovo Foundation representative's visit to Ashgabat is to support Russian companies in entering international markets, including Turkmenistan, with an emphasis on cooperation with local partners. Okunev noted the growth of startups in the International Science and Technology Park AST and business incubators, which creates good opportunities for interaction.
In the future, Skolkovo intends to attract Russian companies interested in the Turkmen market and support local companies striving to enter the markets of the Russian Federation and CIS countries.
Concluding his speech, the guest expressed gratitude to the Government of Turkmenistan, the organizers of "HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024," and the team of the International Science and Technology Park AST for holding the conference and exhibition at a high level.
