The International Conference on Attracting High Technologies and Innovations into Turkmenistan's Economy "HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024" and the associated exhibition vividly demonstrate not only the country's aspiration towards the heights of scientific and technological progress and readiness for broad international cooperation in science, technology and innovative technologies, but also the growing potential of domestic business, which actively participates in the digital transformation of the economy and all spheres of state and public life.
In addition to state structures such as ministries, departments and industry enterprises, several dozen private companies of the country presented their innovative solutions and services at the exhibition. Notably, the exhibition itself was organized through the joint efforts of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and ES "Oguzabat," a company whose activities reflect the characteristic development trends of Turkmen entrepreneurship. This includes the constant search and development of new business areas, active participation in the state's foreign economic activities, and involvement in major economic and social projects implemented in the country.
Founded in 2012, Economic Society "Oguzabat" engages in diverse activities: supplying materials and equipment from various manufacturers, construction and installation works, providing tourism services, advertising, and trading in sports goods. The company closely collaborates with manufacturers and suppliers of a wide range of construction materials and delivers them to construction sites in Ashgabat and the velayats of Turkmenistan. The main construction projects include business centers, shopping and entertainment centers, administrative buildings, industrial facilities, stores, recreation centers, multi-apartment houses and cottage settlements.
"Oguzabat" became the sole distributor of Sinotruk Group trucks in Turkmenistan. This leading Chinese manufacturer of heavy trucks, known for its innovations and high-quality standards, presented its latest developments and solutions at the "HI-TECH Turkmenistan 2024" exhibition. Through cooperation with "Oguzabat," another Chinese company, Shantui, showcased its latest models of construction machinery at the exhibition, demonstrating advanced technologies, innovative and environmentally safe solutions that will help improve the construction industry. The forum also included the "Hi-Tech Startup Turkmenistan – 2024" competition, aimed at identifying and encouraging young people engaged in software development and inventions that can be integrated into the national economy.
Winners of this digital startup entrepreneurship contest will have the opportunity to present their innovative projects to leading companies in the country and abroad, gaining access to investments and partnership programs. The "Hi-Tech Startup Turkmenistan – 2024" competition also aims to create conditions for experience exchange and attract international organizations to develop youth entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan.
