Last week, the scientific and practical conference «Independence - Wings of Great Achievements» was held at the Adalat Palace of Turkmenistan. It was organized by the Ministry of Adalat together with the Supreme Court and the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan. The pre-holiday meeting was attended by employees of the judiciary, representatives of scientific institutions and students.

The conference covered the main areas of development of the national legal system as a result of Turkmenistan gaining independence, the legislation on the courts of Turkmenistan and achievements in improving judicial activity. The speakers who spoke at the conference emphasised that over the 33-year period of independence, a solid foundation has been laid for a democratic, legal and secular state in which the rights, freedoms and interests of citizens are steadily observed.

The meeting also noted that the country has achieved great success as a result of the implementation of policies aimed at strengthening sacred independence, affirming such primordial values of our people as statehood, humanism, equality and justice, increasing the economic, scientific and cultural potential of the Fatherland.
