Universities of Turkmenistan entered the global ranking of leading universities World Round University Ranking (RUR).
The RUR World University Rankings list includes six Turkmen universities: Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics Turkmenistan, Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi, Turkmen State Institute of Finance, Institute of Engineering, Technical and Transport Communications Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.
The RUR Subject Rankings included two universities from Turkmenistan. This Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi and the Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute named after Seyitnazar Seydi.
RUR World University Rankings conducts assessment of the activities of higher education institutions in the world based on 20 indicators grouped into 4 key areas: teaching, research, international cooperation, financial sustainability.
RUR Subject Rankings evaluates universities based on 6 main subject areas: humanities, life sciences, medical sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, social sciences. Universities are ranked based on the effectiveness of the same 20 indicators and 4 key areas of university activity, as in RUR World University Rankings.
Round University Ranking (RUR) - a comprehensive assessment system universities of the world, which includes 5 main rankings. RUR participants include more than 1,200 leading universities from 85 countries. All initial data (number of students, teaching staff, etc.) for RUR are provided by the international media company Thomson Reuters through a special annual study called Global Institutional Profiles Project (GIPP).
RUR ratings have been conducted since 2010 and reflect the activities of universities around the world in all key areas.
Universities of Turkmenistan are actively establishing themselves as participants popular world ratings, which demonstrates the effectiveness and the success of their work, the desire for constant development and expansion its capabilities, and also contributes to solving one of the most important tasks of national education to connect the country's higher schools to number of leading universities in the world.
