The capacities of the electric power industry are increasing

Today, on the widely celebrated professional holiday of workers of the construction and industrial complex in our homeland, the opening ceremony of a new power plant was held in Etrek etrap of Balkan velayat. The event was attended by members of the Mejlis, leaders and representatives of the khakimliks of velayat and etrap, the energy sector, public organizations, and honored elders.

The festive atmosphere of the event was enhanced by musical performances of cultural and artistic figures of the region.

Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, program measures are being implemented to further modernize the material and technical base of the electric power industry and create a reliable energy system. Another clear testament to this is the commissioning of the "Etrek" power plant with a capacity of 220 kV, equipped with modern equipment from well-known global manufacturers.

During its construction, great importance was given to environmental requirements. In implementing major regional and international projects in the energy complex, Turkmenistan approaches environmental protection issues on a responsible scientific basis. Therefore, one of the main tasks in President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's socio-economic reforms is the active implementation of resource-saving, environmentally friendly technologies and the use of highly efficient equipment that fully meets relevant requirements.

As noted by speakers at the event, important projects are being implemented by the Ministry of Energy to successfully realize the President's energy policy. As a result of reforms carried out in recent years in the electric power industry, reliable energy capacities have been created to meet the population's electricity needs.

All this not only allows for fully meeting domestic consumer needs, but also increases the volume of Turkmen electricity exports to foreign countries.

Participants of the event expressed sincere gratitude to Arkadagly Hero Serdar and Hero-Arkadag for their constant attention to the development of the electric power sector of the national economy.

During the opening ceremony, gifts were presented on behalf of the President to builders who particularly distinguished themselves.

Also today, the "Bagyr" power plant with a capacity of 110 kV was commissioned in Ashgabat city. This is yet another vivid testament to the success of large-scale activities conducted under President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's leadership for developing and further modernizing the country's electric power industry and increasing its production capacities.

Thus, today's commissioning of new energy facilities is another confirmation of the success of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's development strategy during the era of Revival of the new epoch of the powerful state.
