An international business forum is planned for November 27 to mark the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Visa.

As reported at the recent Cabinet of Ministers meeting (on November 1), the forum's agenda will include issues of strategic partnership with this company, as well as the development of advanced technologies and innovations in the international payment system. Visa Inc. is an American multinational company providing payment transaction services. It forms the basis of the eponymous association—the largest international payment system, VISA. Since 1994, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan has played a key role in this cooperation, being a member of the VISA International payment system, providing services for all VISA cards, and issuing VISA cards for citizens and businesses.

As a modern credit institution, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan focuses on implementing progressive forms of service and has significantly expanded payment services using international VISA bank cards over three decades of cooperation. For individuals, the bank issues VISA Electron, VISA Classic and VISA Gold cards. These provide clients with a number of undeniable advantages related to favorable exchange rates, the ability to pay in shops, hotels, restaurants, and other trade and service enterprises in different countries around the world, as well as withdraw cash from local ATMs.

Over three decades, the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan has been implementing new VISA options for citizens and businesses in the country, as well as for employees of foreign companies and diplomatic missions. For instance, the VISA Classic Syýahat and Milli VISA options for contactless payments via the Internet open new horizons for travelers and businessmen. A new VISA Virtual bank card has also been introduced, specifically designed for secure online purchases.

With it, a person can make online purchases, order services, buy electronic tickets, and book hotels. The upcoming business forum on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Visa will undoubtedly open new opportunities for implementing progressive forms of service for VISA cardholders based on innovative technologies.
