Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries received 4 certificates this year

Western Turkmenistan’s Balkan province, is mainly rich in oil, so the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries with an eighty-year history functioning in these regions.

The complex of factories made a special leap in the years of Turkmenistan's independence, when it was fully modernized. Head of the Refining Department of the “Türkmennebit” State Concern Meilis Redjepov, said that about 27 local units have been built and have started working, now they produce diesel fuel, various brands of gasoline, bitumen, fuel oil, coke, polypropylene, also base oil (the basis for producing diesel, turbine, industrial oils). This year, Turkmenbashi Complex of oil refineries received four ISO certificates – for quality, environmental safety, management system, also for domestic polypropylene Z-30 specifically for the future medical complex of Arkadag city, which is included in the second stage of the development of the city of national importance.

According to the plan, it will include more than ten buildings and structures where syringes, iodized salt, and baby food will be produced. All enterprises are will built in accordance with the status of a “smart” technological city with high environmental standards. Trial samples of such medical products made of non-woven textile based on domestic polypropylene - gowns and coveralls, one-, three-layer and respirator masks, shoe covers, caps, which in the near future will be produced in mass in the country within the framework of import substitution promoted by the head of state, have already been exhibited at the annual oil and gas exhibition.

Representative of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag city under the President of Turkmenistan Dilfuza Shirieva explained that the medical industrial complex “Arkadag Medcluster” will be ready in 2026, and now polypropylene from Turkmenbashi Complex of oil refineries is being tested on various technical flow lines abroad - in Germany, Turkey, UAE, Republic of Korea in order to purchase the equipment that is most suitable for production under the parameters of our raw materials.

The main operator of oil production in our country is “Türkmennebit” State Concern, which coordinates the work of domestic organizations, also foreign companies that operate in Turkmenistan on the basis of production sharing agreement (these are “Dragon Oil”, “Petronas”, “Mitro”, “ENI”), other foreign material-technological and research consortiums with which the structural units of the State Concern cooperate.

Serdar Periev, Head of International Cooperation and Investment Projects Department of “Türkmennebit” State Concern, said that the state concern has 30 oil and gas fields in the country, also a well fund of more than 2300 hydrocarbon “wells” for various purposes.

In addition to operational work, exploration and geophysical research, repair and restoration, and inspection activities are carried out here. For the fuel and energy complex, the greening of production and the reclamation of landscapes involved in the work remain urgent issues of the development of extraction, processing, transportation and storage. Among the latest innovations that are being tested and will be offered for use in oil storage in the so-called barns is the Russian advanced technology for cleaning the soil contaminated with oil products proposed for the Turkmen market.

ARS-20 reagent is an eco-product that does not harm nature. On 22th of October of this year, the technology received two documents confirming the effectiveness of the method – from the “Тürkmengeologiýa” State Corporation and the foreign company “Intertek”, which is in partnership with Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries in the field of scientific and industrial research.

During tests, you can clearly see how a sample of dark brown soil is divided into three fractions in one container: sand, emulsion and oil on top. The result is actually purified ordinary Aeolian material.
